2017 High School Graduation and Baccalaureate Details

 

The graduation ceremony for Christian County High School is scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 5:00 p.m. and the speaker will be Damien Leavell, staff member & coach at CCHS and 1991 CCHS graduate. The ceremony for Hopkinsville High School will be held on May 19 as well and will begin at 8:30 p.m. The speaker will be Curtis Higgins, educational resource leader for the Kentucky Department of Education and former HHS principal. Both ceremonies will be held at the Stadium of Champions. In the case of rain, ceremonies will become a ticketed event. Locations of the ceremonies will be changed to the high school gymnasiums. The public will be informed of any changes or updates regarding graduation on the day of the event via press releases, website, radio and social media.

 

From the convenience of a computer screen or television, many will be able to watch their loved ones graduate on Friday, May 19. Those interested in watching graduation ceremonies live may visit www.christian.kyschools.us and click on a link that will direct them to a live stream of the ceremony. The link will be posted and can be accessed on the day of graduation. Ceremonies will also be shown on the local Hopkinsville television channel.

 

The Baccalaureate service for Hopkinsville High School will be held on Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. inside thePAC (CCMS) and the speaker will be Jason Powell, First United Methodist Sunday School teacher and parent of HHS graduating senior. The service for Christian County High School will be held on May 17 and will begin at 5:30 p.m. inside the school’s gymnasium. The speaker will be Darrell Keith, retired Master Sergeant-US Army and CCHS social studies teacher. Senior Awards ceremonies will follow services.
