Health Science Academy

The Health Science Academy is part of the National Academy Foundation (NAF).  In conjunction with NAF, our academy strives to prepare scholars to pursue health-related degrees and professions.  The curriculum introduces scholars to health career possibilities through a series of career exploration courses.  Project-based learning techniques are utilized with an emphasis on strengthening project management, leadership, literacy, and team-building skills.  Courses include Principles of Health Science, Emergency Procedures, Medical Terminology, Body Structures and Functions, and Allied Health Core Skills as well as Medicaid Nurse Aide.

We currently have two health science teachers, Dawn Ray and Kathy Rogers.
