CCHS Assistant Principal Named “Administrator of the Year” by KYASRO

Christian County High School Assistant Principal Josh Hunt has been selected as the “Administrator of the Year” by the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers (KYASRO).

The award was presented to Mr. Hunt during the KYASRO summer conference in June. KYASRO board members voted and selected from dozens of nominations received from the state.

Christian County High School Resource Officer Steve Tucker nominated Mr. Hunt for the award. Mr. Tucker’s nomination included Hunt’s ability to remain calm and focused when serious, and potentially, dangerous situations arise. Mr. Hunt was praised for always working tirelessly to ensure students and staff are safe and healthy in their school environment.

Mr. Hunt has 15 years of experience in education, 8 of which he has served as a school administrator. He has served as assistant principal at CCHS for two years.

Recently, Mr. Hunt was a co-presenter at the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) conference. He presented on topics including ways to address at-risk student behaviors, attendance and academic performance.
